Christmas in April

I found-- Well, I finally charged my camera's battery and rediscovered some pictures from around Christmas time. I had joined Chictopia briefly and, as you can see above, my outfit pictures turn out like that which is why I joined Chictopia BREIFLY. The candle is this cool one that looks just like a cork and you put it in wine bottles to use those as the candle holder that Michael's momma gave me. (Holy cow. I had so much trouble phrasing that sentence that I decided to give up and just leave it as a hot tranny mess.)

These are cookies are some I made for my mom. I got the recipe from Ezra Pound Cake. You might wanna just go to the Ezra Pound Cake website anyway. One, because there are other delicious sounding recipes. And two, because, in stark contrast to my trashy looking ones, there are those classy, food blog lookin' pictures where only the front of the subject is in focus and the back is all blurry and stuff.

I like to drink beer while I bake. It's refreshing. (I just wrote that as "I like to drink beer while I drink" on accident which is both funny and true.)

Here's the link to Walnut Acorn Cookies. I changed mine to hazelnuts and they were reallllly good. I'd never made anything with hazelnuts before, but it was a really good decision, especially if you're like me and don't like walnuts.
