Winter Summer

This house, next door to the one I lived in two years ago, was demolished while I was still over there and I took these pictures of it's orange fireplace that had a nice light blue wall behind it. I loved the colors together and the quote that was written above the fireplace (hard to see in the pictures, I know) seemed appropriate for a house that was being demolished. I never knew who the quote was from until I was browsing some blog/tumblr recently and saw this picture of the same quote and found out it was from Albert Camus. "Hey! That's the same quote from the fireplace!"

I was sad to see that house go. Just by looking at it from the outside you could see that it had some problems with rotting wood, but the colors and the fireplace was just so great. Our house, which was pretty much identical in structure, didn't have anything that cool.

It's a dreary day today, similar to the one in those pictures. I can hardly breathe because of the crazy amount of pollen in the air recently and I'm about to go to a baby shower. I've been attempting to fight off my congested head and stuffy nose by drinking ginger tea and eating little pieces of tortilla with lots of sriracha on them. It's be slightly successful. Today, when I was buying my present for the shower, I couldn't believe how small onesies for newborns are. I started to pick up the ones for 9months size, then realized I should get the ones on the hanger labeled "Newborn" and pulled that size out from behind. Newborn size is really, really, really small! I can't believe anyone is ever that little!
