[jacket - forever 21, boots and leggings - rainbow, dress - urban outfitters]

 

i did a little non-vintage-shop shopping yesterday when i stopped by rainbow after going to the gym. if you've seen a rainbow store around, it may look kinda crappy and like some place you don't wanna go, but you do. it's still cheap forever 21 type stuff, but if you're into that-- which i, for one, am-- then there's some cool items in there. i picked up these leather-look leggings and new ankle boots to replace the ones i got at forever 21 LIKE FOUR YEARS AGO! i never would've thought forever 21 boots would last so long, but now that they're finally falling apart, i decided to try my luck with another inexpensive pair. and these feel pretty damn sturdy so far. they also had tassels on the zippers but i cut those off. too much for me.

 

i wore this, which includes my two new purchases, out for thai food last night. of course i also wore a hat, gloves, and giganto down coat because it's still FREEZING here.

I know, I know. I don't usually do this, but today I was dressed like a weird pseudo-hunter and took a picture of it. This could totally be one of those skanky Halloween costumes (like, skanky police officer, firefighter, etc.) if the skirt was a bit shorter and maybe there was just a bra under the jacket instead of a shirt. I would NEVER do that. Just sayin'.

Chictopia

I know I don't usually post these kinds of pictures, but I entered a contest on chictopia. (And it has to do with writing too! so I feel better about it even though I don't have crazy magazine editorial lookin' pics.)

PS. I was just clicking around the chictopia website and some of these people's pictures are really crazy. Mostly the poses and settings. Like, one girl was walking past a background of burning cars. Literally there were cars and atleast one of them was on fire. Cute outfit girl, but should we not be more concerned THAT CARS ARE ON FIRE!?
