I'm moving to a new apartment soon. An apartment which, as of right now, I haven't found yet but need by August 1st. New York apartment hunting is insane compared to Richmond. Every place I had in Richmond I knew about three months in advance. Here you have to really cut it close. It's stressful, but exciting. This'll be my first apartment without roommates-- except for Michael, but he's a little different than a roommate. My first place I lived with five other people, so things have fluxuated and widdled down quite a bit over time. This time around, being with only Michael (instead of lots of peeps or Michael plus one other roommate), I'm really excited to decorate. I feel like I can make things look just how I want 'em to since Michael and I have similar tastes (retro-y, a little kitchsy). Here are some appropriate pictures-- that I just sifted through out of my large "interiors" folder-- that are inspiring for what will probably be a pretty small apartment.
